There is a shortage of doctors, nurses and health professionals in nearly all countries.
Doctors are in very short supply. In recent times many countries have been offering incentives to overseas doctors to come to practice due to the severe shortages. Doctors are paid extremely well in general and pay scales can vary greatly due to ones experience or field of medicine in which they enter with specialists being paid extra well. Any Doctor wishing to practice medicine is normally registered with the medical Board in the state or territory in which they wish to practice. Any doctor who will be working in a general practice or prescribing drugs must also normally apply to a Health Insurance Commission or similar.
